The Purpose of This Blog

Hello world! Here I am..! I have been wanting to make a blog for quite some time now. I am glad to have taken my first steps in this new part of my life. I intend to use this blog for purposes including sharing my journey, sharing ideas, expressing my opinions on personal development, expressing my love for life, inspiring anyone willing to venture into my mind and above all shedding light on the amazing power of personal growth.

My name is Evan Hallen Yearwood. I was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens. I am a young hearted but timeless minded nineteen-year-old man. I attend Brooklyn College, but I spend a majority of my time trying to develop myself into a man more capable of achieving my goals. As you can tell I desire a certain level of success in my life. But there is but one thing I have learned that requires attention. That is "Success is not something you pursue, what you pursue will elude you. Success is something you attract by the person you BECOME." - Jim Rohn. Take note of the highlighted text, when I first heard this quote, that word was riddled with bright lights. It was an idea that I picked up instantly. Almost as if a cog was placed into the machine of my mind allowing all of my thoughts to turn in harmony. It made perfect sense to me. Why only pursue success when I can also mold my being into someone who has success naturally?

It is very obvious to me that I may or may not have scrutiny in regards to things that I write about in these blogs. I do not intend to come across as a "know-it-all" I cannot tell you everything that it takes to become successful. But what I can say is that the soundness of my words will be backed by knowledge given to me from successful people. I am merely using this blog as a medium to express these ideas to people who are willing to take advantage of and explore them with me.

I believe life was meant to be lived in abundance! To bear fruit and be prosperous. Why else would we be here? There may be undesirable answers to that question that will make a good man cry. But I choose to believe we are here for a strong purpose to serve others and ourselves. and that ultimately our greatest accomplishments will be obtained through the proper use of our greatest challenges.

My only hope for this blog is to kindle and set ablaze the sleeping giant that lies within you. Let that giant be abruptly awakened by the ideas expressed in this blog. Let him bellow and roar as you finally decide inside your mind that this is it. You are sick and tired of being sick and tired. And the pain you have for staying the same far exceeds the pain of change! There is a new line in the sand for you and me. I strongly desire abundance for me and my future family. And I now send you an invite engraved in stone to walk with me... Let us take this journey of personal growth together. The world is our sandbox. Let circumstances mold to our will and not let our will mold to our circumstances!
